Nastalo prije vi\u0161e od tri desetlje\u0107a, ovo jezero specifi\u010dnog oblika brojke osam prostire se na oko 5 hektara. Njegova dubina varira od pli\u0107aka pa sve do 14 metara, stvaraju\u0107i idealno stani\u0161te za bogat biljni i \u017eivotinjski svijet. Izuzetno \u010dista i bistra voda, u kojoj obitavaju rakovi, pu\u017eevi, \u0161koljke i kornja\u010de, najbolji je dokaz ekolo\u0161ke o\u010duvanosti ovog lokaliteta.\r\n\r\nOkru\u017eeno gustom vegetacijom, jezero Smolu\u0107a pru\u017ea osje\u0107aj potpune izolacije i mira, iako je od prvih naselja udaljeno tek nekoliko kilometara. U neposrednoj blizini glavnog jezera nalazi se i nekoliko manjih jezera koja slu\u017ee kao uzgajali\u0161ta mla\u0111i \u0161arana i amura, \u0161to ovo mjesto \u010dini va\u017enim centrom za odr\u017eavanje ribljeg fonda cijelog kraja.
