Rijeka Basta\u0161ica ima kratak tok, dug oko jedan kilometar, ali uprkos tome obiluje izuzetnim prirodnim ljepotama.\r\n\r\nSam izvor formira duboko prirodno udubljenje okru\u017eeno visokim, strmim stijenama, a voda je izuzetno bistra, \u010dista i zelenkaste boje. Ve\u0107 na samom po\u010detku svog toka rijeka stvara manje slapove i vodopade, naro\u010dito nakon obilnih padavina, \u0161to ovom mjestu daje poseban vizuelni do\u017eivljaj.\r\n\r\nPodru\u010dje oko izvora danas je ure\u0111eno kao mala eko zona, sa ozna\u010denim stazama, klupama i drvenim mosti\u0107em koji omogu\u0107ava lak pristup i u\u017eivanje u prirodi. Okru\u017eenje je dio \u0161uma visoke za\u0161titne vrijednosti, koje imaju va\u017enu ulogu u o\u010duvanju vodnih tokova i spre\u010davanju erozije.\r\n\r\nIako je rijeka bogata poto\u010dnom pastrmkom, na ovom lokalitetu va\u017ei zabrana ribolova, kako bi se o\u010duvala njena prirodna ravnote\u017ea.
