Peć Mlini via ferrata

The toughest via ferrata in BiH

8.3 km to the city center

Description

For lovers of a true vertical challenge, the Peć Mlini Via Ferrata is one of the most demanding and attractive routes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Located above the very source of the Tihaljina River, this route is reserved exclusively for the most physically and mentally prepared climbers who possess impressive technical expertise. The adventure begins immediately at the entrance with a steep vertical climb, followed by an uncompromising series of rock slabs, sloping grooves, and overhangs that require constant focus, as there are almost no opportunities to rest. With a technical grade of E/F, it is a true test of endurance, but the effort is rewarded with a spectacular, breathtaking view from the top of the cliff.

The entire Peć Mlini site offers a complete adrenaline experience; after a strenuous climb, the return leads past the fascinating Ravlića Cave, while those craving extra excitement can also try two attractive zipline lines. Access to the via ferrata is extremely quick – just a 5-minute walk from the old stone mills (Mlinica), which lend this rugged landscape a touch of timeless beauty. If you're looking for a location where the rugged Herzegovinian rock, crystal-clear water, and pure adrenaline come together, Peć Mlini is your must-visit destination.
