Herzegovina Via Ferrata Adventure – Blagaj

Description

Step off the usual tourist routes and discover Blagaj from a completely different perspective. While most visitors only see the famous Blagaj Tekke, this adventure takes you deep into the spectacular landscapes of the Vulin Potok canyon, where an unforgettable Via Ferrata climb awaits, followed by a refreshing swim in the emerald waters of the Buna River. The combination of adrenaline, nature, history, and active relaxation makes this tour one of the most attractive outdoor adventures in Herzegovina. After about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Sarajevo, we arrive at the Blagaj Eco Center, where our adventure begins. After a safety briefing, we enter the impressive Vulin Potok canyon, a dry limestone canyon through which the Via Ferrata route runs. You will tackle vertical and horizontal sections of rock before reaching the striking formation known as Rebro, which offers spectacular views of the surroundings. The ascent continues toward the medieval fortress of Stjepan Grad, which rises above Blagaj. After visiting the fortress and enjoying panoramic views of the Neretva valley and the surrounding mountains, we return to the Eco Center along a hiking trail. To end the day perfectly, we head to the Buna River, where you can swim and relax in crystal-clear, refreshing water.
