Kupres Ski Resort

8.7 km to the city center

Description

Kupres is a true gem of western Bosnia, located on a plateau at an altitude of 1,250 meters above sea level, surrounded by mountains whose peaks reach up to 1,828 meters. Thanks to its harsh mountain-alpine climate with nearly five months of snow annually, Kupres is a traditional ski destination that particularly attracts tourists from Dalmatia and Herzegovina.

The two main ski resorts — Adria Ski on Čajuša and the Stožer-Vrana ski center — offer a total of about 13 kilometers of groomed runs, five lifts, night skiing, a ski school, ski rentals, and snow cannons that guarantee a quality season from November through the end of March. The Kupreško Field, covering 93 km² with an average annual temperature of just 5.7 °C, also offers a rich summer lineup — paragliding, hiking, horseback riding, motocross, and excursions through pristine nature. Kupres is a destination for anyone seeking a true mountain getaway, far from the crowds and close to the sky.
