Seven decades by the Sava
Ficibajer is not just a picnic area — it is part of Brčko's identity. From the landscaped bathing area in the 1950s and the Republic Water Polo Competition in 1953 to today's active Kayak-Canoe Club with more than 70 years of tradition, this stretch of the Sava has been a stage for generations.
Every summer, the Sava Regatta attracts hundreds of boats and competitors from Brčko and nearby towns, and beach volleyball has even hosted the Open Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The charm of Ficibajer still lies in its mix of sporting energy and the relaxed peace of the Sava.
