Eco Lake Camp
Description
Eko kamp Jezera – Šljunkara bathing area is a natural swimming and leisure complex located in Dvorovi, about 6 km from the center of Bijeljina, along the old course of the Drina River on Pavlovića put. It covers an area of 2.5 hectares with two smaller lakes, a forest and meadow section, and deep shade that makes it especially appealing in the summer heat. The eco-center was founded in 2009 for the study and protection of the Drina backwaters ecosystem, the preservation of plant and animal life, and educating young people about nature conservation.
It is organized by the Environmental Association Eko put, which made a major contribution to developing the site. The complex is intended for family outings, swimming in the clean lakes, barbecuing, and relaxing in nature. It attracts visitors equally in summer and winter. The Drina River and the Drina backwaters surrounding the complex are home to the distinctive plant and animal life of Semberija.
The Gravelly Beach Bathhouse
Šljunkara bathing area is the heart of this eco complex — two lakes surrounded by dense Drina forest that become a getaway from the city bustle of Bijeljina in summer. The water is clean, the shade is deep, and the atmosphere is as relaxed as it gets at a natural picnic spot.
What makes Šljunkara special is not luxurious infrastructure — there isn’t much of it — but precisely this: a natural setting along the Drina flow, with no asphalt or concrete right up to the edge, only dense greenery and gravel. Everything you need for a great day in nature you bring with you.
