River Una
Description
When the ancient Romans first laid eyes on the emerald shores of this river, they were speechless before its beauty and exclaimed, "UNA" - one and unique. Through the municipality of Una, it flows for 35 km, bringing a magical blend of crystal-clear water, limestone barriers, and breathtaking, roaring waterfalls. In this area, it receives its largest tributary, the Sana, creating a water nexus in the embrace of pristine nature.
The most authentic way to experience this river gem is by sailing on a traditional Una raft. During the boat trip, stops for photos at numerous waterfalls, rapids, and sandbars on the Una River are a must, as is arranging a picnic lunch in the wilderness surrounding the Una. For those with a bit more adventurous spirit, this tour can be done by kayak and canoe.
