Rudine Picnic Area
Description
Rudina picnic area is a mountain picnic spot located 6 km from the center of Živinice, on the road through Gornje Živinice and Kopjevići to the Prisad area. Prisad is reached by car, and from there it is another kilometer on foot to the summit of Rudina. It is characterized by dynamic terrain with prominent peaks, ridges, and slopes, as well as dense stands of deciduous and coniferous forests — especially black and white pine. Rudina is especially popular thanks to Bike Park Rudina, with well-maintained downhill and trail routes for mountain biking and trail running.
The picnic area is a favorite for hiking, walking, recreation, and escaping the city crowds. Well-kept trails and clean mountain air make it suitable for all ages throughout the year.

Rudina is a mountain with character. Its dynamic landscape of ridges and slopes, the coniferous cover of black and white pine, and dense beech forests make it visually more striking than an average Bosnian picnic spot. Just 6 km from the center of Živinice, by car to Prisad and then another kilometer on foot, visitors enter an atmosphere that has little in common with the town they just left behind. Clean air, the silence of the pine forest, and mountain trails attract day-trippers from Živinice, Tuzla, and the wider region throughout the year.

What sets Rudina apart from similar picnic areas in Tuzla Canton is Bike Park Rudine — a well-maintained network of downhill and trail routes that has turned this mountain into a destination for mountain bikers from across the region. The dynamic terrain, naturally suited to descents, has been equipped with trail infrastructure and signage, making Rudina one of the few places in BiH where recreational cyclists and trail runners have an organized setting. The Živinice Cycling Club is the active driving force behind this content and regularly expands the offer.
