Čeveljuša Waterfall
Description
Čeveljuša is a small but impressive waterfall on the Trebižat River, located in the village of Hrašljani a few kilometres from Ljubuški — a true hidden gem between its more famous neighbours, Kravica and Koćuša. At around 15 metres high, this waterfall is breathtaking, with vivid views of white water tumbling through lush greenery, and the sound of rushing water can be heard from far away, instantly inviting you to stop and take a deep breath.
Čeveljuša has long been a favorite summer gathering place for locals — the perfect spot for swimming and relaxing in the shade by the water, away from the city bustle. Right nearby are three restaurants serving authentic Herzegovinian food — grilled dishes, fresh fish and homemade meals, all accompanied by the sound of the waterfall, a combination that is hard to forget. In summer, the tables are always full, so booking ahead is highly recommended. Čeveljuša is the ideal addition to a visit along the Trebižat — in one day you can visit Kravica, Koćuša and Čeveljuša and experience every side of this incredible river.
The Trebižat trio
Čeveljuša is hidden between two more famous neighboring waterfalls — Kravica and Koćuša — and that is exactly why many people miss it. And they shouldn’t. About fifteen meters high, peaceful and gentle, this waterfall on the Trebižat offers what the crowded Kravica increasingly cannot: quiet by the water, open space to relax, and spontaneous swimming without the crowds.
Anyone planning to visit Ljubuški and the surrounding area can easily visit all three Trebižat waterfalls in one day and experience one of the most beautiful river routes in Herzegovina.
