Kravica Bathing Area

The swimming area at Kravica Waterfall is one of the most attractive and best-maintained summer destinations in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and for good reason. Before you stretches a natural amphitheater 120 meters wide, at the bottom of which the clear, ice-cold waters of the Trebižat River flow, perfect for cooling off on hot Herzegovinian days.

You can relax on the shore, swim right up to the falls and feel the power of the water in your hand, or trust the boat that takes you right beneath the waterfall — you’re guaranteed to get wet, but also to not regret a single second.

You have changing cabins, toilets, and restaurants with a view of the waterfall serving local meat and fish specialties, and with coffee on the terrace and the sound of rushing water, it will be hard to make yourself leave. The site is well arranged and clearly marked, with its own parking and a small train that takes you down to the bottom, although walking the trail with views of the falls is an experience in itself. Kravica has been declared one of the most spectacular swimming spots in the world — and once you experience it in person, you’ll understand why.
