House of Branko Ćopić

In the peaceful Hašani, at the foot of Grmeč, the doors have once again opened to the home that gave rise to the most beautiful stories of our childhood. The authentic replica of Branko Ćopić's birthplace, opened in 2020, is the heart of the memorial area “Bašta sljezove boje.”

Here, on some 36 hectares of pure nostalgia, the characters from Branko's works come to life. A visit to Hašani is not just an outing, but a return to the world of cheerfulness and imagination of the great writer, where the scent of mallow still preserves the memory of his grandfather's mill and the magical paths of childhood.
