Stećak necropolis
Description
Although the most famous necropolis in this region, Dugo Polje, is located on nearby Blidinje (under UNESCO protection), the narrower area of the municipality of Posušje also hides incredible archaeological treasures. More than 30 necropolises with hundreds of stećci have been recorded in the Posušje area, bearing witness to the deep roots of life on this Herzegovinian karst.
