Trnovačko Lake

Trnovačko Lake is one of the most famous mountain lakes in the region and is often regarded as one of the most visually stunning destinations accessible from the Foča area. It is most commonly reached via a hiking route starting from the Prijevor plateau. Visitors remember it for its distinctive shape, crystal-clear waters, and the strong sense of being surrounded by untouched mountain wilderness. It is a must-see attraction for those seeking a complete mountain experience rather than just a short sightseeing stop.

Best time: summer (June–September)
Altitude: 1,517 m, a glacial lake
Access: ~2.5 h walk from Prijevor (5 km)
Highlight: a base for climbing Maglić
