Municipal Building
Description
The Municipal Building in Kostajnica, built in 1887, is a true architectural gem from the Austro-Hungarian period. This building exudes a pseudo-Moorish style, which the architects of the time brought from Spain, giving the town a unique character. The authentic part of the interior, preserved to this day, is the polychrome-painted ceiling of the council chamber, divided into geometric fields decorated with floral motifs. The building is protected by a decision of the Kostajnica Municipal Assembly.
