Čapljina
Basic Information
Čapljina is one of the most beautiful and best-kept towns in BiH, located at the confluence of the Trebižat, Bregava, and Krupa rivers into the Neretva. Its symbol is the medieval town of Počitelj, an architectural gem protected by UNESCO. In the immediate vicinity is Hutovo blato, one of the largest bird habitats in Europe, ideal for photo safaris and peaceful boat rides. Čapljina also preserves its ancient past through the Roman rustic villa Mogorjelo. The town is known for its plantations of southern fruit, top-quality vineyards, and the "water lift" on the Trebižat River. Thanks to excellent rail and road connections, Čapljina is an essential stop for everyone traveling to the sea or exploring the interior of Herzegovina.
