Bistričak Excursion Site
Description
Bistričak is the best-known park and excursion area in the surroundings of Zenica, about 25 kilometres from the city (roughly a half-hour drive). Located at an altitude of 430 metres, this natural complex covers an impressive 50,000 m². In the very heart of the park, the Ograjina and Bistrici streams meet, forming the Bistričak River, which after six kilometres flows into the Bosna as its left tributary. Surrounded by dense deciduous and coniferous forests, Bistričak offers the perfect blend of peace and recreation to the sound of numerous streams, making it an ideal place for fishing, hunting, hiking and camping.
