Ravno
Basic Information
The municipality of Ravno is a center of speleological tourism thanks to Vjetrenica Cave, the best-known and richest cave in BiH, home to numerous endemic species. Ravno is adorned with typical Herzegovinian architecture, with stone houses and narrow streets. Nearby is the 13th-century Zavala Monastery, carved into the rock, which is a top cultural and historical monument. The area is part of the historic narrow-gauge railway "Ćiro," which has now been converted into a popular cycling trail connecting Mostar and Dubrovnik. Its proximity to the sea and Popovo polje gives Ravno a special charm, making it an ideal destination for lovers of history, nature, and authentic, peaceful Herzegovinian life.
