Vlašić
Description
Mount Vlasič, located in the very heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Central Bosnia Canton, is one of the largest mountain plateaus in the country. The plateau stretches from 1,000 to 1,500 meters above sea level, and its highest peak, Paljenik, reaches an impressive 1,934 meters. It is named after the ancient Vlach people, and today it attracts visitors from all over the region who come for the fresh mountain air, pristine nature, and a rich winter offering.
The Babanovac Sports and Recreation Center, established in the 1970s, is home to the famous international ski jumping competition "Pokal Vlašić" and offers over a thousand lodging units. More than 10 kilometers of groomed ski runs, six lifts including three baby lifts for beginners, night skiing, Nordic skiing trails, and a snow safari — all of this makes Vlasic the perfect winter destination for adventurers and families alike. Vlasic is not just a mountain — it's an experience that repeats itself every season.
