This mountain gem in the Central Bosnia Canton stretches at an altitude between 1,000 and 1,500 metres, while its highest peak, Paljenik, proudly dominates the skyline at 1,934 metres above sea level. Vlašić has for decades been synonymous with exceptional holidays, and its crown jewel is the Babanovac sports and recreation centre, which since the 1970s has been home to the prestigious international ski jumping competition — the "Pokal Vlašić".

Today, Babanovac boasts over a thousand accommodation facilities, making it an ideal destination for adventurers and families alike who seek a peaceful escape into nature. With more than 10 kilometres of groomed ski slopes and six lifts, including three baby lifts for the youngest visitors, Vlašić truly has something for everyone. In addition to alpine skiing, winter enthusiasts can enjoy night skiing, nordic skiing trails or an exhilarating snow safari across vast white expanses, while the summer months reveal green meadows and the rich tradition of producing the renowned Vlašić cheese.
