Herzegovina Museum of Trebinje

The Museum of Herzegovina is the central museum institution of the city and one of the most important places for getting to know the history, culture, and artistic heritage of eastern Herzegovina. It was founded in 1952, and the idea for its establishment is linked to Jovan Dučić. The museum has a large exhibition space and permanent displays of archaeology, ethnology, fine arts, and literary heritage. Among the especially important contents are Dučić's collection and numerous legacies of notable artists. In addition to its permanent displays, the museum regularly organizes exhibitions, literary evenings, promotions, and concerts, making it an important contemporary cultural center of the city.
