Basic Information

Visoko is a town that never stops surprising. Located in Zenica-Doboj Canton, just 30 kilometers from Sarajevo, this small Bosnian place has been attracting tens of thousands of curious visitors from around the world since 2005. The reason is unique — the Bosnian Pyramid Valley, a complex of five pyramid-shaped hills and a network of underground tunnels that has sparked one of the most intriguing archaeological debates of modern times. The Sun Pyramid on Visočica hill rises more than 220 meters and towers over the famous Great Pyramid of Giza, while at its base stretches the Ravne tunnel labyrinth with documented energy anomalies that attract researchers and the curious alike. But Visoko is not just about pyramids — at the top of Visočica stand the remains of the Old Royal Town of Visoki, the coronation site of Bosnian bans and kings from the 14th and 15th centuries, and in nearby Arnautovići lies the burial and coronation site of the first Bosnian king, Tvrtko I. The Bosna and Fojnica rivers, Ravne 2 Park, and numerous excursion spots complete the picture of a town that combines mystery, history, and untouched nature into one unforgettable experience.
